What do you think about Y Combinator's decision to cut its ticket size from $150k to $125k?

Since 2011, YC has changed its ticket size and maintained equity stake between 6 to 7%.

Up until last year, it was $150k for 7%. However, going forward, it will be $125k for the same amount of equity.

The accelerator cited economic downturn caused by the pandemic. However, how do you think this decision will affect Nigerian and African startups?

Not much difference. Launch accelerator are offering 100k for 6% with the same access to silicon valley resources and investors. So, no biggie. Change that to naira and you will :zipper_mouth_face:
